Welcome to my website, My name is Siobhan McCann and I am the Owner/Founder of The Classy Collar Pet Services. We offer a range of services, Dog Grooming, Licensed Home Boarding, Dog Walking, Home visits and Pet sitting.

I started off grooming my own dog Ernie a Miniature Schnauzer when my husband bought me a pair of professional dog Clippers. From then I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I had been at Manchester Airport from 2008 and various jobs before that but I have always loved dogs.  I would groom family members dogs etc just to get some practice. I then went to seek Professional dog grooming courses. I started a Diploma level 3 Dog Grooming course and as I was coming to the end of this course I fell pregnant with Twins. Little bit of a surprise, however, I knew I would have to put my love for dogs on hold for a little while. Once Orlagh and Evan started school in 2016 I decided I wanted to complete this course and become a Dog Groomer and I received my certificate in September 2016. I started grooming friends dogs to get more practice in and before I knew it people were ringing me for appointments from word of mouth. In October 2018 I made the decision to leave my job as Passenger Service Agent at Manchester Airport and become a self employed Dog Groomer working from home. 

Whilst grooming my clients would ask me if they knew anyone to have their dogs while they were on holiday and on a few occasions I would offer to do this. I absolutely loved having them and I would do this regularly. I looked into Home Boarding in 2018 and found out I needed a Licence from the local council to board dogs over night. So I done a lot of research and had to wait for my children to be over the age of 5 years old before I could apply. I wanted to make sure everything was correct on the application before sending it off, so kept going over and over it. I applied in March 2019, had my inspection in April 2019 and I am now A licensed Home Boarder licensed by Manchester City Council. I couldn't be happier, doing a job I love and getting to spend my days at home with Dogs. 

In addition to this I also hold a certificate in Canine Emergency First Aid and Canine Psychology both of which are CPD Accredited.
